Rik Cordero

30 year old film maker from Queens, NY named Rik Cordero became popular in the music video world through the Internet. RELOAD caught up with the guy behind the lens that brought you videos he directed for recording artist such as Jay-Z & Nas to award winning movies.
RELOAD – How did you get started in the motion picture business
Rik Cordero – I started officially in 2004 with a feature film called mends, basically it was an independent film, did it for very little money, that was sort of my film school because I didn’t go to film school that led to doing hip hop videos, one of the first one that got attention was Joell Ortiz Brooklyn bull shit off his bodega chronicles. After that one thing led to another, I got the blue magic trailer, jay-z american gangster and led to bigger names and to my career, I been doing it for 3 years professionally.
