Ilegales – Review

Ilegales is a modern day drama about human trafficking along the U.S/Mexico border. From the slums of Juarez to the suburbs of New Mexico, five distinct, but connected stories weave together, exploring hope, heartbreak, and the lines people cross in search of a better life.

What is it about the U.S. that make non citizens want to cross over? I will never know the real feeling but the story of this movie will try to make you understand.

If this story is what they go through then I will never complain about the way I live, even if I’m broke on a weekend in Miami. You have to respect the way they work for nothing, the way they get humiliated and treated. If that American pie was taken away from me I would go ape shit, these dudes just want a slice.

I won’t spoil the movie for you, but in one scene where a mothers son gets revenge was like the sweetest joy next to getting pussy.  Overall the movie wasn’t half bad, the shots were set up nice and the actors were good.  I give it 3 out of 5 (courtesy of Platform media Group).

Life is hot in Cracktown “the directors cut” – REVIEW

“Life is hot in Cracktown” novel, turned movie is like a underground community, it’s just fucked up in that world. You got this pretty boy gangster that’s just pure evil which is played by Diana Ross son Evan, you probably remember him from the movie ATL that played TI’s little brother. The way the movie starts is bugged out, Evan’s character “Romeo” is a young violent drug dealer with a cold heart that needs a hot ass whoop’n.

You got Keri Washington playing “Marybeth” a chick that tucks her dick in her booty on some transsexual prostitute that gets coked up or was it heroin along with her partner that doesn’t mind his partner is a he she.

Manny played by Victor Rasuk the Dominican actor that was in “Haven”  trying to save his money to get his family out of that fucked up world they live in by working two risky jobs.

There are kids raising kids because mommy is putting her addiction/man first before her kids. These are all real life situations whether if pieces where fabricated or not. Overall the movie was OK even though it was back to back fuckedupness. To me it was too much foul stories in one.

Oh yeah if you are a Wu Tang head and wanting to see this movie just because RZA is in it don’t get hyped, he just got one scene.

the directer captured some gritty shots and the special effects on murders was pretty realistic, the special features in the DVD will help you understand the movie more with great behind the scenes and explanations straight from the cast and Buddy Giovinazzo aka the writer/director. I reviewed the directors version (courtesy of Lightning Entertainment) which is the way everyone should see a movie, who needs other people remixing your vision.  DVD in stores on the 25th of August.

RELOAD gives it 2.5 out of 5
